The 87 Ethel Condos is a proposed mixed-use development in Toronto by iKORE Developments Ltd. This development will encompass a five-acre wide block in The Junction Neighborhood in the Stockyard District. The proposed development will have a mix of residential and commercial buildings. Building A will sit on the west end of the site and it will be a 15-storey building with 166 units consisting of 9 one-bedroom, 136 two-bedroom, and 21 three-bedroom units. Building B East and B West are 19-storey buildings that will have 455 units each consisting of 137 one-bedroom, 213 two-bedroom units, and 102 three-bedroom units.
Building C would be a mixed-use 7-storey building that consists of commercial units on the first two floors and medical suites above. It is situated at the east end of the site. Building D lastly, would have 16 storeys with commercial spaces on the first two floors. It will also have 179 residential units consisting of 18 one-bedroom units, 153 two-bedroom units, and 8 three-bedroom units. All the buildings will be serviced by an underground parking garage.
The Junction is a transit-oriented neighborhood with several small-scale establishments and malls for the residents’ convenience. Minutes away from the site are numerous eateries along Dundas Street, a supermarket just across the street, and Runnymede Park in the east of the development. The Stockyards Village Mall and SmartCentres Toronto Stockyards are also within walking distance from the project.
Schools such as Rockcliffe Middle School, Harwood Public School, and Carleton Village Public School are all within walking distance from the development.
There are also a number of parks and green spaces in this part of Toronto. The closest ones in the development are Lavender Creek Trail, Black Creek Park West, and Runnymede Park.
