About the developer
The Jackson Homes chapter started in 1969, when its pioneer, Alexander J. Jackson, was fresh out of high school. He attended with an entrepreneurial mindset and an aspiration to pursue a dream.Â
Alexander began his career as a construction laborer in Toronto, and his eager and willing attitude quickly propelled him to top-level production authority. While continuing to work in Stratford, Ontario, he recognized this was where he wanted to settle and provide a better life for his family. It was here, with only a maroon Ford and a few tools, that Jackson Homes’ reputation and work ethic began to take root.
Pioneering projects would include the construction of a Tim Horton’s and a McDonald’s. Alexander continued to expand and grow to serve his clients as the commercial and residential markets fluctuated.Â
He developed sought-after services and a sustainable, successful business model based on trust, community commitment, and integrity. Jackson Homes will always collaborate and work with every customer from the ground up to help create a treasure chest of their own stories crafted by a builder’s great heritage of expertise.
