A 46-story skyscraper with 340 residences and eight townhouses on the ground level are part of the community’s plans. Condos and townhouses for rent are housed in a nearby 21-story building.

The 46-story tower’s amenities facilities will be placed on floors 1, 2, and 46 for condominium members. Family and child rooms, music rooms, workout facilities, conference rooms, and guest suites will be available. The outdoor pool, a separate clubhouse, a dog run, grass, dining places, and a children’s play area will all be available to residents of both buildings as a shared resource.

The buildings’ exteriors are characterized by clean lines, vertical fins, and large expanses of glass. While the second tower is only half the height of the first, the circular architectural apertures on the rooftop decks link the two.

In all, there will be 688 slots in the five levels of underground parking, of which 453 will be reserved for condominium residents, 97 for guests, and 20 will be wheelchair accessible. Four hundred sixty-one parking spots will be equipped with Level 2 EV charging stations. In addition, there are 604 parking spots for bicycles, including 435 reserved for condominium owners.

Two allocated parking places for MODO car-sharing cars will be provided for on-street parallel parking on the North Road and Farrow Street. At the lobby entrances to both buildings, there will be a total of 12 short-term bicycle parking spaces.

Location and Neighborhood

Smith & Farrow is located in the Burquitlam-Lougheed neighborhood, on the east side of North Road and just north of Burnaby’s border.

Clarke Rd is lined with eateries in the Eastside neighborhood. Papa’s Shish Kabab, Pizza Factory Coquitlam, and Grand Seasons are all within easy walking distance of the region. Near Burquitlam Plaza, Safeway Burquitlam is situated.

There are two Smith & Farrow coffee shops within a few blocks of each other. From the development in Burnaby, Starbucks and the Connected Minds Cafe & Roastery are easily accessible.

Accessibility and Highlights

Farrow St. has a southbound bus stop outside the Smith & Farrow building. The Burquitlam SkyTrain station and the Burquitlam Plaza Shopping Mall can be reached by crossing Farrow St. and Clarke Rd. Smith & Farrow’s proximity to facilities makes it ideal.

Nearby institutions, including Simon Fraser University and Mundy Park’s 435-acre nature preserve and a slew of picnic sites, are all within easy driving distance of the property.

Shops like Katsuya, Shoppers Drug Mart, and a new Safeway supermarket can all be found within easy walking distance of Clarke Road and Como Lake Avenue. The City of Lougheed Shopping Centre is only five minutes away, and Port Moody and North Burnaby’s nearby communities provide a broader range of services.
