Ledingham McAllister is developing Southgate City, up-and-coming master-planned development in Burnaby. To be built at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Griffiths Drive, Burnaby. Each of the 20 buildings in Southgate City ranges in height from 24 to 46 stories.
Burnaby will soon have a new landmark thanks to this development’s stunning glass towers and awe-inspiring garden houses. Shops and services, including grocery stores, restaurants, and cafés, are all within a short distance of each other in the region. The Southgate City neighborhood is worth keeping an eye out for.
A 30-story tower and a four-story low-rise are the first buildings built in Southgate’s first development phase, situated on the site’s southwest corner. Its design is inspired by flying over the vast and open sky, which is the inspiration for IBI Architects, who designed the Azure project. The condos will include high ceilings, huge windows, and extensive balconies or patios with lights for outdoor entertaining from one to three bedrooms.
More than half of the 229 highrise residences are customizable. Plan sizes vary from 611 to 909 square feet and include one to two-bedroom Plus den layouts. The Teal Collection has 53 low-rise condos ranging from 677 to 933 square feet, 11 of which are adaptable. One-bedroom + den to three-bedroom layouts are available. The patios on the ground level of the apartments are enormous.
Azure residents will also have access to a fireplace lobby lounge, guest room, billiards lounge, social lounge with kitchen and eating area, gym & yoga studio, and an adjacent terrace.
More than 500 bicycles may be stored in an underground parking garage, while 310 automobiles can park there. There will be EV chargers in four booths for residents and eight for visitors. There will also be a bike repair room and a home loading area in addition to the three-vehicle wash bays planned for the facility. Residents will store bicycles on the ground floor in 57 short-term racks.
The Stride Avenue Park and Stride Avenue Community School are adjacent to Southgate City. Byrne Creek Community School is located just down the road. Because of this, Southgate City is a great place to raise children.
The Byrne Creek Ravine Park is only a few streets away, where homeowners may go hiking on the Byrne Creek Urban and Southpoint paths.
McDonald’s, Wings Burnaby, and Church’s Chicken are just some of the eateries found north of the city. Also, coffee shops like Starbucks and Tim Hortons. At the Highgate Village Shopping Centre, residents may also conduct errands short distance from Southgate City.
Near Southgate City, people have access to various bus lines that go north, south, and east. The Edmonds SkyTrain station is about three blocks away from Southgate City, and people may get there by bus or automobile.
