The Dawes Condos is mixed-use condo project that will feature two residential towers with 24 and 38 storeys respectively.

This condo project will house 641 exclusive condo units that will be a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom layouts. Each suite will have 9’ ceilings, laminate flooring in living, dining, and sleeping spaces, a solid core entry door with view holes, and sliding door/swing doors throughout.

Plans for the project will include the preservation of a century-old on-site grain elevator and flour mill, as well as the southern end of the land, as a history and cultural preservation site that will serve as a heritage park inside this condo community.

Alongside this, the project will allocate over 27,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity spaces. Residents will have access to a grand lobby, parcel rooms, a two-story fitness studio with weights, machines, spin, yoga, and boxing, an indoor and outdoor kids’ area, indoor dining, screening room, social lounge, co-working space, games room, craft studio, meeting room, library lounge, pet wash, outdoor dining, outdoor BBQ, and outdoor lounge.

Additionally, the project aims to provide 17,000 square feet of retail and commercial space as well as 11,000 square feet of daycare that features a large outdoor play area. This is a part of the developer’s plans to gentrify this underused dead-end street.

The whole condo project in Toronto will be serviced by an underground parking lot that can house up to 215 vehicles and 540 bicycle parking spaces.

Location and Neighbourhood

The Danforth Village Neighbourhood is a highly diverse community featuring multicultural shops that attracts people all over Toronto.

The project’s prime location within this neighbourhood puts it close to commercial stretches along Danforth Avenue, providing its homeowners with utmost urban convenience.

The site of the development has attained a walk score of 91 out of 100 meaning daily errands can be easily done without the use of vehicles and other transit options. This is mainly attributed to the presence of establishments that provide daily living needs. This includes establishments such as Sobeys Danforth, Canadian Tire, Kera Fresh Meat, Metro, Loblaws, and countless dining establishments along the bustling Danforth corridor.

Aside from having the convenience of being situated minutes away from urban amenities, the project is also located close to a plethora of natural outdoor spaces. Creek lands are located just a short drive north of the development as well as creekside parks and trails. Down south, residents will have unhindered access to cliffside parks that offer spectacular views of the scenic waters of Lake Ontario.

Daily commutes can be easily done with TTC streetcars and buses that operate in the area, making commutes a breeze in this part of the city. The project also sits close to Main Street Station along TTC’s Line 2 subway and Danforth GO Station for quick commutes to Downtown Toronto and other parts of the GTA.
