Minto Communities and Metropia have partnered to create Union-Village Towns, Markham’s newest master-planned townhome community. The York Downs Golf Course, situated west of Kennedy Road and north of 16th Avenue, is the site of this pre-construction project.
This brand-new townhouse neighborhood will be created in stages and will include over a thousand properties, some of which will be single-family homes, some of which will be rear-lane townhouses, and some of which will be typical townhomes with two to four bedrooms.
There will be four sections to the project. Every quadrant of the complex will include open space and parks with a new school in the center, making this an excellent place for families to live. There will be 2,295 new homes built in the area, which will house 7,422 people.

In addition, mixed-use buildings, including retail, restaurants, amenities, and office space, are expected to be available to investors in the future.
This master-planned community is located in one of Markham’s most sought-after areas, with lots of green space and proximity to the city’s downtown. One of the primary reasons young professionals choose to settle in Markham is the abundance of career options.
In addition to being in the heart of the entertainment district, Unionville is also near Downtown Markham’s current construction, including restaurants and the Markham Pan Am Centre.
