If you also want to roam around the area and explore the vicinity by looking at its full glory, you can drive your car or hail a cab to tour you. Restaurants, schools, parks, shops, and other establishments can also be accessed by car or bus for only a couple of minute ride. 

You may also just walk around the area or ride your bike if you have one since it will only take a couple of minutes to reach point B from point A. Besides, it can also be a form of exercise.

Westbury is close to two nearby bakeries which are The Patty Shop and Tachia Bakery & Deli, just steps away from Trafalgar Park and Trafalgar Elementary. Apart from that, there are three restaurants across Macdonald St which are La Buca Restaurant, Moki’s Pizza, and Ridge Garden Restaurant. 

Residents can also shop their groceries at Safeway Arbutus, which is only a 3 to 9 minutes ride via W King Edward Ave. Shopping can be done at Arbutus Shopping Centre which is only a drive of 4 minutes or a 16-minute bus ride from Westbury via W King Edward Ave.

Aside from these establishments for leisure, Westbury is close to several schools. Schools like Arbutus Montessori School, Carnarvon Community Elementary, Prince of Wales Secondary, Princes of Wales Mini School, and Kitsilano Secondary can be traveled by bus or car. Also, Westbury is around 15 minutes from the University of British Columbia. 

Westbury is also near to different parks like Valdez Park, Carnarvon Park, Arbutus Village Park, and Balaclava Park. So, you have endless choices on where to spend your day and how to do it when you live here.
