Introducing Bloor & Dufferin Condos

Welcome to Bloor & Dufferin Condos, the new preconstruction project located at 1131 Bloor Street West, Toronto. This ambitious new tower will be joint project by two renowned developers, Capital Developments, and Metropia.

Some of the city’s finest buildings were developed by Capital Developments, such as the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos on 2131 Yonge Street, and the 155 Redpath Condos on 155 Redpath Avenue. Metropia has made their name famous throughout the country, developing condominiums such as the AYC Condos on 181 Bedford Road, Building Four at University City in Calgary Alberta, and Exhibit Residences on 200 Bloor Street West. Hariri Pontarini Architects are in charge of the architectural designs, and they have produced the layouts for a number of Toronto’s incredible buildings. These include the Ivory on Adelaide on 406 Adelaide Street East, Garrison Point on 30 Ordnance Street, B.streets on 783 Bathrust Street, 277 Davenport on 277 Davenport Road, The Pinnacle on Adelaide on 295 Adelaide Street West, and Art Condominiums on Dovercourt Road.

The Condominium

This astonishing project will consist of 2219 units, with a total of nine buildings ranging from 6 to 47 storeys high. There will be approximately, 67 units bachelor suites, 155 three-bedroom suites, 788 two-bedroom suites, and 1,209 one-bedroom suites. The condominium will be used for mixed-use, with 30,000 square feet of community space, 200,000 square feet of retail space, and 52,000 square feet of office space.

Interestingly enough, Kent Senior Public School, which houses the Toronto School of the Arts will be restored, and implemented as part of the project, to give residents an additional destination to spend their time. Within the building will be an extravagant hotel-like lobby, equipped state-of-the-art yoga rooms, an extravagant fitness centre, as well as scenic balconies to give residents a beautiful panoramic view of the city skyline.

Attached to the plaza and atrium space is a gateway on the southwest corner of Bloor & Dufferin, which extends from Bloor Street to Croatia Street. On that same corner will be a public park near the Dufferin Mall, as well a grocery store. Within the documents for the development are plans to create two north-south streets, in addition to a series of connected public walkways. In addition, retail and shopping sections will be located on a private street that can also be used for special events.

The Neighbourhood

With an unbelievable Walk Score of 95/100, and an amazing Transit Score of 96/100, residents will enjoy all of Toronto’s fine establishments, without having to worry about the hassle of how they will get there. The neighbourhood is vibrant, brimming with life, and is full of a wide selection of incredible places to spend your time. These locations include the Royal Conservatory of Music, the Royal Ontario Museum, the massive VIP Cinemas Movie Theatre, and the Hudson’s Bay Centre to name a few.
