Aspen Enterprises is building a new waterfront condominium project in Burnaby called Flavelle Mill at 2400 Murray Street in Port Moody, British Columbia. There are 3,397 residential apartments spread across 11 buildings varying in height from 16 to 38 floors in this planned development.

The 34-acre beachfront location on which this master-planned community is built is very close to Rocky Point Park. Parks and open spaces are also expected to make up 52 percent of the property. Flavelle Mill will link Port Moody to the coastline and provide access to the waterfront for the whole neighborhood.

Features and Amenities

Condos, townhouses, rental housing, and the possibility of houseboats are all being considered for the development, which is expected to result in the construction of 3,400 residential units. Rejuvenation of the waterfront will include the construction of new recreational pathways, a boardwalk along the water’s edge, four park areas totaling 4.9 acres, and a public plaza of 1.9 acres, which will link the waterfront area to Rocky Point Park.

Location and Neighborhood

More than a quarter-million square feet of office space; 72,000 square feet of retail, including a grocery store; 103,000 square feet of light industrial; a 106,000 square foot campus of care facility; and a 75,000 square feet of live/workspace for artists and other creative endeavors are among the proposed developments.

To guarantee energy efficiency and environmental health, developers and planners intend to use a sustainable strategy in the development. By using LEED principles in the design and construction of the property, planners want to make it a model for environmentally friendly neighborhoods. The Sky Train Evergreen Line and the West Coast Express are just a few minutes walk away, making this a prime location for Metro Vancouver to travel.

Accessibility and Highlights

There are two bus stop stations just outside Fleville Mill, on Murray St., for eastbound and westbound travel. Restaurants, breweries, and parks are all within walking distance or a short drive away. Port Moody’s Moody Centre Station is only a few streets from Fleville Mill, so people can quickly use the train or bus to go about the rest of the city.

A short distance from Fleville Mill is Rocky Point and Inlet Parks. There are three restaurants and an ice cream shop within a short walk of Fleville Mill: The Boathouse, Pajo’s, and Rocky Point Ice Cream. The Parkside Brewery, Yellow Dog Brewing Co., and Twin Sails Brewing are all across Murray St.

Schools for kids such as Childgarden Preschool and Moody Elementary are located within a few blocks of Clarke St., and Grants St. Fleville Mill is only a short commute from these schools, making it a prime spot to call home.
